BUILDING REGULATIONS IMPORTANT UPDATE
Following a Governmental review regarding the current Building Regulation Laws, on 15th June 2022 the Window and Door industry will be subject to changes that will become a legal requirement when replacing your windows and doors.
From this date, the most significant change is that ALL windows (and certain doors) will have to include the provision of a trickle ventilation, in the form of a slot vent installed into each window within habitable rooms (including bedrooms / lounge / kitchen).
The revised law also stipulates that the vent has to be a minimum of 8000mm/2
As a responsible and compliant company, Strata will follow these legal requirements fully and this should apply to all companies that offer quotations.
The legal responsibility is with the installation company and failure to comply will result in the frames having to be replaced, with serious cost implications for the householder.
